The Murder A Wallace Mack Thriller Wallace Mack Serial Killer Thrillers Book 2 edition by Dan Ames Professional Technical eBooks Reviews
Book one was great. Many perpetrators, and twists and turns. Now we have one perp, 200 pages less than book one and an increase in price. AND no mention of Nicole. Book 3 I see has an additional 50 pages less than book 2 so I'm not sure I want to invest more for less.
The concept of The Murder is interesting and the book is well written but I felt it's a bit incomplete. The ending was too abrupt, almost like the author just got tired of writing. Not enough follow through and I really want to know where's Nicole?Mack 's love interest from the first book isn't mentioned at all and that inconsistency took away some of enjoyment of this book.
This book covers it all with murder, suspense, mayhem, and sex crimes being committed with a twist of technology genius thrown in for good measure that will have you glued to your seat mesmerized by this author's uncanny ability to come up with this realistic FBI investigation thriller.
If you want to be enamored by a gripping story line this author's work definitely won't disappoint you!
First off, I love your books Dan! I look daily for something new and exciting. I love your writing, the way you write works for me.
This book fell short with character development, so I'm hoping to see another book coming with Mack as a big part in it With maybe a bit more character involvement/development. I love his character, he is real to me. Has issues but not debilitating........
So please bring it on! I personally love your writing....
Sincerely,
Debbie, a fan
I was impressed with this marvelously well written book, although the subject matter was on the yucky side. The main character, Walter Mack, seems to be very smart, but he drinks quite a bit. No. He drinks a lot. (He is going to kill those smart brain cells; I think it's called "wet brain." Perhaps he should cut down a bit.) I loved the character of Rebecca Spencer. She stuck up for herself, and how!
This was my first Dan Ames book, but I will definitely read more. He is now a favorite.
The overall premise of this book is simple but very chilling. Children are abducted then sold on the Internet as live toys for practitioners of sadistic sex. The cost of procuring the "toy" is extreme, and the entire sale is obviously done in secrecy. Little or no description is provided of the mistreatment of the child before his/her death. The solution by authorities is conveniently fast enough to free the latest victim --a senator's daughter. But I found the ending a little too pat and a little too abrupt. After the build-up of the story, it was a letdown.
“The Murder ” is a wickedly clever thriller. Each brief chapter adds another layer of suspense until the very end. “The ” itself is an online marketplace specializing in the sale of children. For a couple million dollars the insanely twisted and wealthy can buy a child to brutalize, rape, torture and kill. When the bodies of several children appear in Colorado and a Senator’s teenage daughter, Rebecca, disappears in Iowa the FBI get involved. Retired FBI agent, Wallace Mack, is brought in by the Senator to find his daughter. Mack determines Rebecca’s disappearance is no random kidnapping for ransom as initially suspected. Rebecca’s disappearance is much more malicious.
“The ”, owner, star employee and two patrons give a horrifying glimpse of child trafficking and the sick individuals involved in such ventures. With enough money and the simple click of a button you can purchase and extinguish an innocent life. Though this story is fictional it could easily be true. You can buy anything you want online nowadays if you know where to look and this story is a chilling reminder. Page turning, dark and thrilling read with a storyline that will stay with you long after you finish the book.
